学名来源：种名赠给提供化石研究的锦州市文雅博物馆馆长杜文雅先生。
保存状况：完整个体。
基本特征：一较圣贤孔子鸟小的雄性个体，具有清晰的角质喙印痕和明显的双弓型头骨。下颌骨前部比较细，而且下颌孔前部扩展。上颌骨较圣贤孔子鸟向前突出，指骨爪没有圣贤孔子鸟那样伸长、强壮，胸骨比较拉长，前喙中央有一凹刻构造成“V”字形，同时胸骨两侧有一对短的后侧突，跗蹠骨较圣贤孔子鸟短，以及尾综合、骨末端膨大。

etymology: Species name after Mr. Wenya Du, director of the Wenya Museum in Jinzhou City who donated the specimen for research.
preservation: A complete individual.
diagnosis: A smaller individual than Confuciusornis sanctus, impression of horny beak preserved. Diapsid shull. Lower jaw slender. Teeth on lower jaw different from that of C. sanctus. Mandibular fenestra expanded anteriorly. Maxilla protruding more anteriorly than in C. sanctus. Wing claw less developed. Sternum relatively elongate with a "V"-shaped anterior notch. Sternum with a pair of short posterior proceses. Tarsometatarsus relatively short. Pygostyle expanded distally.
