学名来源：“波罗赤”是该鸟化石的产地名。种名赠于中国已故鸟类学家郑作新院士。
保存状况：不完整个体，缺失头骨后部、颈椎和肩带等。
基本特征：化石虽然保存不太完整，但由已保存的部分可以证明它嘴前端钩曲，胸骨已具有龙骨突，但不发育，趾踱骨三个趾骨滑车高度比较接近，趾爪强烈钩曲，末端尖锐，爪长超过其他趾节长。

diagnosis: Beak curved. Sternum with keel but not well-developed. Trochleae for three pedal digits on the same level. Pedal claws sharply and strongly curved. Unguals longer than other phalanges.
