<马来鳄/假食鱼鳄/假长吻鳄>

马来鳄与食鱼鳄非常相似，但以往专家多认为其属于鳄亚科，而与真正的食鱼鳄关系较远，不过最近也有些学者认为马来鳄可能的
确和食鱼鳄有一定的关系，应属于食鱼鳄亚科。马来鳄口鼻部也很细长，口内有80枚大小一致的牙齿。马来鳄平均体长为3米，但也
有的达到4米。
马来鳄生活于马来半岛、加里曼丹、苏门达腊、爪哇的淡水沼泽、湖泊和河流中，以鱼为主食，也捕食其他小型脊椎动物。历史上马来鳄的分布远比现在要广，几百年前还曾出现于中国南方。马来鳄野外繁殖情况不详，人工养殖的会修建堆起的巢。马来鳄属于濒危动物，在泰国的养殖场和美国的布朗克斯动物园、迈阿密动物园能成功繁殖。
