<奥里诺科鳄/中介鳄>

奥里诺科鳄是西半球最大的鳄，体长可达7米，其特征与美洲鳄非常相似。奥里诺科鳄生活于哥伦比亚东部和委内瑞拉的奥里诺科河盆地中的安静河流和泻湖中，在奥里诺科河口一带，与美洲鳄分享共同的栖息地，主要以鱼为食，也捕食其他可以捕到的脊椎动物。
奥里诺科鳄的繁殖习性可能与美洲鳄相似。奥里诺科鳄由于鳄鱼皮贸易耳数量骤减，虽然受到法律保护，但是法律难以很好的执行，现在在委内瑞拉野外可能不及百只。奥里诺科鳄在动物园没有繁殖过，但在有些私人养殖场中可以繁殖。
