<古巴鳄/菱斑鳄>

古巴鳄是中型鳄鱼，体长3米，也有些个体会更大些。吻相对较短，成鳄体黑而有黄斑。古巴鳄生活于古巴西南部的淡水沼泽中，以鱼和小哺乳动物为食，性情凶猛。古巴鳄与美洲鳄以及被引入的眼镜鳄分享共同的栖息地。对古巴鳄的繁殖行为，我们所知甚少，只知道其挖洞产卵。
古巴鳄是受政府法律保护的濒危物种，在美国的一些动物园和美国和古巴的养殖场中可以繁殖。
