<佩滕鳄>

佩滕鳄是吻部较宽的中型鳄鱼，体长3~3.4米。佩滕鳄生活于从墨西哥南部到危地马拉北部的淡水吃糖、河流和沼泽中，也可出现于接近大西洋海岸线的地方。佩滕鳄虽然受到法律保护，但仍然被广泛偷猎，是濒危物种。佩滕鳄目前在一些动物园中已经繁殖成功。
