<伊里安鳄/新几内亚鳄>

伊里安鳄是吻部较窄的较大型鳄，体长可达4米，生活于伊里安岛（新几内亚岛）近岸的淡水湖泊、河流和沼泽中，食性广泛，捕食可以捉到的任何食物。伊里安鳄修筑堆起的巢，双亲都负责照看，北部的种群在旱季反之，南部的种群在雨季繁殖。伊里安鳄目前数量尚多，属于易危物种，在养殖场中可以繁殖。
