菲律宾鳄是中型鳄类，体长2.4~2.7米，口鼻部相对较宽。菲律宾鳄仅分布于菲律宾群岛的民都洛岛、内格罗斯岛、棉兰老岛和萨马岛，生活于淡水的沼泽、湖泊和河流中，可能食性广泛。菲律宾鳄繁殖习性不明，只知其修筑堆起的巢。菲律宾鳄是濒危物种，在野外仅百只左右。
