<短吻鳄/非洲侏鳄>

短吻鳄是小型的鳄，体长1.8米，口鼻部短。短吻鳄是适应性强的森林夜行鳄类，分布于中非和西非热带雨林中移动缓慢的水域中，其分布与尖吻鳄有相当的重叠。短吻鳄虽然在有些地方数量还比较多，但整体上种群已经比过去有很大下降，被列为中等受危或濒危物种。虽然在人工养殖下可以繁殖，但是尚没有建立养殖场。
